Motion design, animation
Brief: The assignment was to create a 45-60 second long animation with information regarding a common misconception in the world.
The animation is about the misconception regarding suicide rates in the world. Many believe that suicide is increasing worldwide, but it is actually the opposite, which is something I wanted to highlight.
The animation is made in After Effects with illustrations made in Illustrator. I wanted the animation to have a minimalistic look with a focus och facts and typography.

PROCESS
For the project, I started doing research regarding what misconception to do a animation about and then what information I would include about my chosen misconception. I planned out frames by roughly deciding how much time each fact needed and what I wanted to include in the animation. I brainstormed ideas with which facts I would use and how this would look animated and how to visualize it.
After this, I created a moodboard to decide what kind of mood and vibe I wanted for the animation. I wanted something minimalistic and quite clean, aswell as a feeling of handdrawing and doodling.
After this, I started mapping out style frames of key moments in the animation, to make the process easier. I also tried planning the different transitions so the animation would become easier.
